The government of Edo State initiated a large‐scale demolition of structures along the Irhirhi-Obazagbon-Ogheghe Road in Benin City. The land in dispute is said to cover 1,229 hectares, acquired in 2017 and formerly part of the Ogba Forest Reserve.
